This is a picture of Robin and his dad taken at Daytona Beach Florida in June of 1984.
This one was taken June of 2007 of Robin with his son at Pensacola Beach Florida with the same exact floaty from the first picture. When we were at the beach Robin and Matt posed because Robin knew his mom had a similar picture like it of him and his dad. As soon as we got home, Pat pulled out her album and sure enough...what a hoot!

Friends...Near and Far...
As many of you know I have belonged to a Scrapbooking Yahoo list for many years. There is a wonderful group of ladies on this list stretched across the United States and Canada and we have all become close friends. I have been blessed enough to meet 2 of them. While in Oklahoma City Sharon met us at the IHOP for a nice visit and some iced tea, then she lead us to the Bombing Memorial. This is a picture of her and I.
Rest of Vacation...
Okay...so we have been back a few weeks but I wanted to add the rest of our vacation here lol. After we left Florida we headed to my brothers house then camping in the Ozarks. We met up with Brad, Dara, their kids Becca & Anthony, mom, Bunk, Grandma & my Aunt Linda at a place by Bull Shoals called Captain Jacks. They all stayed in one big cabin and we of course stayed in our camper. Behind their cabin was Bull Shoals which is a huge lake. We spent every day there playing in the lake and laughing. We stayed here from Monday to Thursday and headed for home on Thursday.
On the way back we stopped in Oklahoma City to see the Bombing Memorial. What a beautiful memorial, so very sad but peaceful!
After we left OKC we stayed the night in Amarillo where they had a really beautiful RV park with this catch and release pond and water fall...
On the way home Matt and Kamryn had a blast taking pictures of themselves with Matts digi camera...what a couple of 'nuts'! They actually did really well for being crammed into the back of a small pickup truck for 4,000 miles! Don't ya love Kamryn's Kool-Aide mustache?
We had a fabulous time and even though we only got 9 miles to the gallon :o( we would do it again in a heartbeat!!

Pensacola~Day 4
Today was our final day in Pensacola, tomorrow we head to my brothers house in Arkansas and some camping in the Ozarks.
Today was all about the ocean, all we did was get wet and sunburned. We went back to Destin for some more snorkeling. Robin and Matt saw some Seahorses but by the time I got out there we couldn't find them...bummer...

After that we grabbed lunch and then went to Fort Walton for some more of the pirate festival. The kids scammed alot more beaded necklaces and Matt won a hat and t-shirt for doing over 20 pull-ups at the Marine recruiting booth.

Pensacola~Day 3
These first 2 pictures are of our campground. We have been staying at the Emerald Beach RV Park which is right on the bay. You can see the water through the trees and campers in the 2nd picture. Those people in those RVs can easily throw their flip flops into the water from there :)
Last night Matt and Robin were walking on the beach where you can find dozens of hermit crabs. They caught this on in the net and brought it back to camp to share. As Matt was getting it out of the net it grabbed him so he was screaming, Kamryn was screaming just to scream and Bryttaney was yelling "You have to put it back in the ocean" over and over as loud as she could. All this was going on after 10pm so I am sure our neighbors were thrilled!
Today we went into Destin again and hopped on board the Hannah Marie for a 2 hour cruise of the bay and a small part of the gulf. We saw a bunch of dolphins almost immediatly...my vacation is no complete :o) Kamryn got 'Captain' the ship so now we call her Kaptain Kamryn.

After our cruise we stopped played in the bay in Destin and did alot of snorkeling and saw some really cool things...but you have to wait for me to get the water camera developed to see those.
Then we stopped in Fort Walton because they were having their annual pirate festival where they reinact the priates overtaking this area many years ago. They had a pirate ship shooting at the harbor with lots of people dressed in costumes from the period. There were lots and lots of pirates walking around. After the reinactment they had a fireworks show which we stayed for. Then when we were heading back to the truck there were some people throwing beaded necklaces from their 2nd story condo so we hung out there and caught about a dozen necklaces :o) So we stopped by a pretty bush so I could take pictures of the kids with their necklaces and unbeknown to the kids a pirate jumped into our picture...it was great :o)
